Its precise location is at the north of Sydney’s Harbor Bridge which gives it an incredible view over Sydney Harbor. The park offers various types of fun activities and games for the whole family. It is an iconic amusement park for Sydney. Luna Park has remained to be a home of fabulous rides as well as attractions. These attractions include Giant Slides, Ghost Train, Coney Island, Big Dipper, and the Rotor. The strengths of the park include; its free entry into the park, fun activities that are suitable for the entire family, friendly and responsive staffs. However, some of its weaknesses include; expensive and limited experience in some services offered and also slows customer service leading to long queues. The park is privately owned by Brookfield Multiplex; it is easily assessable and is an iconic and genuine amusement park in Sydney. For this park to achieve its objectives and also improve the visitors’ experience, it is important for it to assess its various attraction attributes in order to make informed management that will enable it to meet its objectives.

The park offers various types of fun activities and games for the whole family. It is an iconic amusement park for Sydney. This park does not charge any entry fee but only charge for the rides, games and any other fun activity offered in the park. Luna Park is a heritage for Sydney which continues to amuse and thrill visitors to the harbor city. Therefore, this report is based on my experience as a visitor at Luna Park Sydney (“Luna Park, Sydney,” n.d.). This report will highlight the types of tourist attraction in the amusement park, analyze the strengths and weaknesses of Luna Park Sydney, and also undertake an assessment of the tourism attraction attributes at the amusement park. It will also assess and determine various attributes which can be used to come up with informed management as well as planning decisions and also discuss its management implications. Eventually, the report will also determine the main generic factors attracting visitors to Luna Park Sydney.

The free entry to the park is lucrative and entices visitors, attracting them to visit the park and as they walk around they will definitely be attracted to the fun activities and games in the park which they will have to pay for it.

The rides and other fun activities offered are suitable for the entire family. These make the park more appealing and attract all type of people regardless of their ages. The park has design fan activities and rides some which are specifically for children, others for adults and others for the entire family (“Luna Park Sydney ,” n.d.). This has made the park to address the needs of various types of people and of different ages, therefore, increasing their target market which consequentially leads to a huge number of visitors attracted to it.

Another significant strength is that the park is friendly, the attendants and staffs at the park are very friendly and dedicated to their work. Moreover, the park has enough staff to manage and help in the coordination of activities in the park. This makes it safe to leave children to ride and play (“Luna Park Sydney ,” n.d.). There are no incidences of kids getting lost because of the dedicated and enough staff looking out the children as they play and ride. The security, in general, is beefed up making the visitors feel safe whenever they enjoy themselves. The park also has an excellent and very responsive customer service. It has enough and a very friendly attendant who guide visitors in the rides (“Luna Park Sydney ,” n.d.). These attendants improve the experience of the visitors by explaining to the visitors the dos and don’ts when riding and ensuring their safety as they ride. The attendants also help in assisting visitors who might get injured in the park to get medical assistance immediately.

Weaknesses

Some of the activities and services offered in the park are expensive and limited. For instance, the park charges very a lot of money for ferry rides which are very short and not worth the amount paid for. Moreover, the park also has inappropriately managed services leading to a lot of confusion and customer dissatisfaction. There have been instances whereby some visitors pay for unlimited rides only to be ridden for a short time (“Luna Park Sydney ,” n.d.). High prices on activities and services offered at the park and limited services limit customer experience and consequentially turns away visitor including loyal or recurrent visitors thus resulting in a reduced number of visitors affecting the income in the park.

The park also has slow customer services. This results in frequent long queues at the park. Due to long queues, visitors tend to get exhausted and feel inconvenienced (“Luna Park Sydney ,” n.d.). This may end up discouraging the visitors from revisiting the place again. Moreover, ticketing services is slow which is contributing to the long and slow-moving queues at the park.

Brookfield Multiplex organizes every managerial activity in the park. It fully owns the park. The park is a genuine park that has its own unique fun activities and buildings creatively designed and decorated.  These unique attractions include; Giant Slides, Ghost Train, Coney Island, Big Dipper, and the Rotor (NWS Government, 2016). Moreover, the park a unique gate designed of a smiling face with its mouth as the entrance to the park. Essentially, the design of the facilities and their decorations are stunning and very unique. Luna Park Sydney a world heritage and an iconic amusement park in Sydney. It has a reputable status and records a high number of visitors visiting the park. It has been recorded as the most treasured attraction to both Sydney and the Australian government.

Luna Park Sydney is also very accessible. It can be accessed by walking, using vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles or by using a ferry. In terms of accessibility, there is nothing preventing the place from being accessed by visitors. The place is easily accessible by all visitors. Its location is conducive and has a good road leading to the road.  Luna Park Sydney market is niche since it is cherished for its Sydney Harbour views (NWS Government, 2016). The park is a perfect place and attracts several international and local visitors. It has a stable market. It records a high number of visitors every year.
