It is widely believed that successful participation by Sino-foreign businesses in e-commerce makes a substantial contribution to ensuring sustainability and comprehensive economic growth.

Introduction

Statistics on internet use reveal that today, people live in connectivity. It is estimated that more than 3.2 billion people use the internet. However, China has most internet users estimated to total 642 million internet users, which represents more users as compared to Japan, the United States, and India all combined. This connectivity helps to improve information and knowledge dissemination and sharing among countries, therefore, establishing new and growing channels to conduct business and trade. This new information sharing medium is the 21st-century technological advancement that impacting on the place of production of the goods and also the way in which they are consumed. The rise of this connectivity has resulted in the emergence of e-commerce. E-commerce is very important in levelling and facilitating business activities both locally and internationally. Essentially, e-commerce enables Sino-foreign businesses to get exposed to new customers, new markets and opportunities. Therefore, this paper discusses the understanding of e-commerce attributed to international trade specifically Sino-foreign business activities.

China has experienced an incredible comprehensive economic growth through e-commerce thus spreading the wealth and creating jobs for the rural population. China being the largest e-commerce market, it is an example to its bordering Asian countries of the significance to invest in communication and information supporting Sino-foreign business that will eventually grow through e-trade. E-commerce helps to ease international trade and make it grow. In China, its market has grown for in the Sino-foreign business in Asia by e-commerce which gives opportunities outsourcing, inserting into local value chains and the facilitation of technological transformation and knowledge.

Today, e-commerce is very important and plays a significant role in international trade. E-commerce helps to connect customers and sellers from various parts of the world which eventually improve sales. Mobile technologies such as WhatsApp, Facebook, and WeChat amongst others have greatly facilitated international trade.  This instant messaging up in mobile phones enables the sellers and the customer to communicate effectively and transact their business amicably across the world without disputes. For instance, I came across an advert of a six pack workout machine that I found interesting online on Facebook. We communicated and organized for the transaction of the business effectively and after a short time, the business was sealed as I had received the workout machine and the seller had received the payment. I live in the United States while the owner of the workout machine was in Germany. Despite this distance, the business was successful.

To sum up, e-commerce is the core of international trade. Sino-foreign businesses greatly depend on e-commerce for its effectiveness and success. The connectivity of this e-commerce has helped create linkages, patterns, and pathways of collective and effective communication when conducting businesses that ensure business success. In essence, e-commerce relies on mobile technologies such as Facebook to promote international trade. Therefore, mobile technology is the facilitator of e-commerce.
