Effects Of Childhood Development On Health Free Sample Essay

The issue of the interconnection between the effects of childhood development on the health of an individual in adulthood. Prenatal and also early childhood development possess a serious impact in adulthood on long-term health.  In essence, it is not clear yet what are the contributing agents to prenatal and child development.

The reason why I find this issue to be interesting is that of the curiosity to determine the interrelation or interconnection between the effects of childhood development on the health of an individual in adulthood. My key interest is to focus on the examination of the interrelation between prenatal, and early childhood development together with the cognitive hearing and vision functioning in middle age.

There is recent research was undertaken that examined the impacts of prenatal and childhood development with regard to vision, hearing, and cognition in adulthood (Dawes et al., 2015). The study centred on examining the cognitive function, hearing, and vision in adulthood based on the birth weight and the adult height (Dawes et al., 2015). It was determined that the cognitive performance and the sensory were influenced by smoking, sex, economic status, age, smoking, education level, and diseases. The cognitive and sensory function was in no way interconnected with adult height or birth weight (Dawes et al., 2015). This indicates that adverse prenatal experiences are disastrous and cause poor sensory and cognitive functioning and cognitive impairment in adulthood.

Based on the above research findings, I am curious and have an interest in conducting research on how gender affects cognitive development. Literally, the aim of the study is to determine the difference in cognitive development between males and females. The study will examine the rate of cognitive development for males and females. Moreover, the study will also look into determining other factors that influence cognitive function and development in children.
